GARLIC CONFIT CREAM CHEESE

Make garlic confit

Heat oven to 250ºF. Add cloves to baking dish or cocotte with a cover. Pour olive oil over top so cloves are covered. Cover & bake until tender & golden (~2 hours).

Let cool & store if needed

Let the mixture cool to room temperature. Set aside ⅓ cup. Reserve remaining oil & confit garlic for other use. Store refrigerated in airtight container (~2 wks).

Mix cream cheese

Add the ⅓ cup confit garlic cloves & cream cheese to a food processor or the bowl of a stand mixer. Mix or blend on low speed until smooth (~1 min).

Use or store

Spread on your favorite bagel or bagel sandwich. If not using right away, store refrigerated in an airtight container (~1 wk).
