Spicy Cucumber Margarita

Maybe it’s because the spice masks the alcohol taste and you are left with a refreshing cucumber drink with a hint of spice.

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • 3 inches English cucumber (or half a Persian cucumber)
  • 2 teaspoons thinly sliced serrano pepper
  • 2 ounces tequila blanco
  • ounce triple sec
  • ounce freshly squeezed lime juice

Instructions

  • Add the sugar, cucumber and Serrano pepper to a cocktail shaker. Use a muddler to press down and twist the mixture. Repeat this a few times until the cucumber releases juice and creates a syrup with the sugar.
  • Add the tequila, triple sec and lime juice.
  • Add ice to the shaker then close the top and shake vigorously.
  • Strain the drink into a glass filled with ice. Serve immediately.
