Brine the wings

Add chicken wings to a large mixing bowl & toss with pickle juice. Cover & refrigerate, brining the wings in for at least 1 hour & up to overnight.

Drain the wings

When ready to cook, drain the wings & pat dry with paper towels, returning the wings to the mixing bowl.

Make the seasoning mix

In a small mixing bowl whisk together the bourbon, honey, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, chili powder & cayenne until combined.

Toss seasoning with wings

Pour the spice mixture over the wings & toss to combine.

Bake the wings

Heat oven to 400ºF. Place a wire rack inside a baking sheet. Arrange wings in an even single layer & bake until cooked through (~35 min) turning halfway through baking.

Serve

Arrange the wings on a large platter & serve with pickles.
