Heat oven to 425ºF. In a large mixing bowl stir together flour, baking powder, sugar, Old Bay Seasoning, onion powder & salt.

Add butter to the bowl & use a pastry cutter or a fork to cut the butter into flour mixture. Do this until it resembles rough crumbs & the butter is still in pieces.

Add the cheese & chives, tossing with your hands to combine.

Pour in the buttermilk & stir with a wooden spoon until a loose, sticky dough forms.

Turn the dough out onto a clean, lightly floured surface. Use hands to shape dough into a rectangle. Fold dough over & reshape again into a rectangle (~1½” thick).

Cut dough into biscuits by pressing straight down, using a 2.5” biscuit cutter. Reshape dough as needed to continue cutting.

Place biscuits on a greased cookie sheet & bake until golden brown (~15-20 min).

In a small bowl stir together the melted butter, Old Bay Seasoning, garlic & chives.
